7 Iran films compete at US festival

A line up of seven Iranian films has been announced among the official selection of Brooklyn Film Festival in its 20th anniversary edition.

The films will be competing in different sections of the festival held June 2-11, 2017 in Brooklyn, New York.

The list includes: ‘The Sis’ by Marjan Asharafizadeh in the Narrative Feature Section, ‘Not Yet’ by Arian Vazirdaftari; ‘On the Roof’ by Amirhossein Kotobzadeh in the Narrative Short Section and ‘The Orangish Tree’ by Amir Houshang Moeini; ‘Switchman’ by Mehdi Khorramian; ‘Only Five Minutes’ by Mohammad Mohammadian in the Animation Section.

The Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), is an International, competitive festival. BFF mission is to provide a public forum in Brooklyn in order to advance public interest in films and the independent production of films.

Award-winning films from the Brooklyn Film Festival have gone on to be nominated and awarded at both the British Academy Awards (BAFTAs) and at the American Academy Awards (Oscars).
